How we began…..

In 2007  an enthusiastic group of Condobolin locals met to discuss how they might showcase Condobolin’s finest gardens and together give their community a sense of direction and positive mindset in what was a pretty dire period given that we were in the midst of a severe and prolonged drought.

From that meeting the Condobolin Garden Festival was formed and in 2008 an inaugural Festival was held.  Some 1500 people were attracted to the two day event from all parts of NSW.  It was planned that the Festival be held bi-annually, however the continuing drought and lack of water resources meant that the planned 2010 event had to be deferred.  Thankfully, times have improved and the weekend of 21st and 22nd April 2012 have been set aside for the second festival.

Again we hope to bring enthusiasts from far and wide.  Renowned guest speakers will pass on their knowledge and seven local country and in-town gardens will be on display.  Stalls will be available for attendants to purchase goods offered for sale and on the evening of the 21st a quality jazz band will entertain guests in a setting to emulate a ‘day on the green’ theme.
